Brushfire Stankgrass - Microclimates CD

Brushfire Stankgrass
Microclimates, by Brushfire Stankgrass, immediately triggered thoughts of something by Jazz Mandolin Project as the album cranked up, but it quickly jutted into something equally as marvelous during bluegrass, jazz, rock and roll, and otherwise surreal tangents that the album visits.

Railroad Earth - New Years Eve - Asheville, NC

Railroad Earth - New Years Eve - Asheville, NC
The Orange Peel, a venue that has seen countless artists and thousands of patrons, rang in 2014 with a special three night performance by Railroad Earth.

Culminating this three day journey on the last evening of 2013 the band offered melodious acoustic sounds while mingling songs from their previous albums with exciting new tunes from their soon to be released album, “Last of the Outlaws”.

Friday Jan 03, 2014 (10PM)

HGMN members Mac & Juice Quartet and Marvelous Funkshun will be performing at Southland Ballroom Friday January 3rd. Tickets are $6 advance and $8 at the door. This will be an all ages show so come out and bring the whole family.

Mac & Juice Quartet
Winners of last years Last Band Standing. Since their beginnings well over a decade ago, Mac & Juice have made tremendous evolutionary strides from their days as a dynamic acoustic duo. Now performing as a Quartet, both acoustic and electric, their vast stylistic range is seamlessly translated into every original song. The band personally describes this as “A Broad-Spectrum Rock & Roll Mosaic.” Performing a minimum of 125 shows a year, they consistently prove to audiences across the southeast that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with onstage. Whether listening to their album or experienced live, the end result is a sound all its own that lends itself to a very broad range of listeners.

Wakarusa is pleased to announce the first of three rounds of the 2014 artist lineup.

Round one artists include STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Lettuce, Dr. Dog, Papadosio, Cherub, BoomBox and more.  The 11th annual festival will be held June 5-8, 2014 on majestic Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas.

“Wakarusa” is a word derived from Native American culture that means "ass-deep". Of course, back then this described the depth of a river. Now, in its 11th year, we have come to know Wakarusa as a way to define the depth of an experience.

Wakarusa is much more than a music and camping festival. Wakarusa is an experience that was created BY music lovers, FOR music lovers. Four days, six stages, over 150 acts, nearly 200 sets of music; never corporate, always progressive. Forever, your home away from home.

Full Event Passes, as well as Camping, RV, and VIP Passes are now on sale now. For information, lineup and ticketing information visit the official Wakarusa website: www.wakarusa.com.
