Originally from Indiana, Dan started performing at a young age in churches and local talent contests. His musical background began with training in classical piano and quickly expanded into songwriting, singing and guitar playing. At age 16, Dan was fronting bands headlining college venues. Dan's college years proved to be the foundation for his career as a singer/songwriter. While most students worked at local businesses to pay for school, Dan worked the local music scene and performed twice a week for 2 years to support his college efforts. During this time, he wrote, recorded, duplicated and sold his first solo CD, Boise, Bend & Back Home Again. This was Dan's first offering and his fans loved it so much that he re-recorded and re-released it in 2005, three years after it's initial success.
