After becoming one of the world's greatest live bands throughout the 1990's and unleashing a new sound full of space-funk during their 1997 tours, Phish took a 3-month break following New Year's Eve 1997. Returning with a four-show run comprised of dual two-night stand in Nassau and Providence, Phish immediately put April 1998 on phan's musical maps with this amazing show. With wide-open setlists and a newfound vigor, the band pushed expectations even higer in just four days.

This performance starts off the run dubiously, with a cataclysmic "Tube" opener and a legendary first set "Stash" that redefined the boundaries of that song. A magnificent run through "Wolfman's Brother > Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley > Frankie Says > Twist" holds down the second set, as "Twist" reaches stratospheric heights of improvisation.
