PERCoLAToR represents Jim Weider's newest musical venture - powerful groove & atmospheric guitar driven music. Jim blends rock & blues with funk & jazz grooves, combining modern drum loops and samples, beautiful melodic instrumental ballads, and stratospheeric guitar runs. An All Star Guest lineup plays on Jim's original new tunes: John Medeski (keyboards), Rodney Holmes (Drums, Steve Kimock Band), Tony Levin (Bass), John Holbrook (synths), and Carlos Valdez (Percussion).

Jim Weider, a master of classic telecaster guitar, is renowned for his rock and blues-based sound. Raised in the famed arts colony of Woodstock, NY, Jim received great acclaim during his long tenure (1985-1999) as lead guitarist (replacing Robbie Robertson) for Rock in Roll Hall of Fame inductees THE BAND. During 15 years of international touring with original members Levon Helm, Garth Hudson and Rick Danko, Jim was featured on numerous albums, films, videos and television appearances. A 2005 W.C. Handy Award winner, Jim has written songs and produced for many artists and has three solo albums.

Percolator is big guitars-driven all instrumental modern grooves!

"A self-described groove guitar fest, The all-instrumental "Percolator" teeters between rock, jazz and blues with multilayered guitars and mutating moods that recall Joe Satriani, Charlie Hunter and Danny Gatton. With all-star backing from the likes of John Medeski and Tony Levin, Weider puts on a clinic in clean, atmospheric picking." - Boston Herald
