Friday night, Steel Pulse was in town playing at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO. Not only was the legendary group in town but the venue was sold out. Incredible little place to see these guys getting down but they also had a Colorado favorite, Chala opening up and setting the vibe for the night. Chala has it's roots from Latin music, as well as, hip hop and R&B with positive lyrics. What a great band to have as the opener for Steel Pulse. Over the course of the night you get to hear all of your favorite songs being played with a full crowd singing all along to the songs with all the love and boy was it powerful. David Hinds and Ronald McQueen are such the powerful force keeping the crowd up on their feet singing and dancing. Steel Pulse formed in 1975 and they are A Grammy Award winning band for their 1986 album Babylon the Bandit. Steel Pulse has received nominations for Victims (1991), Rastafari Centennial (1992), Rage and Fury (1998), Living Legacy (2000). and Mass Manipulation (2019). Go out and see more Reggae music! Enjoy these pictures of the magical evening.
