Led by Charly Lowry (lead singer/rhythm guitar - Semi Finalist on American Idol 2004), Aaron Locklear (keys/guitar/bass), Corey Locklear (lead guitar/cello/bass), and Shay Jones (drums), the band works to harness the sounds of Soul, Rock, Roots Music and R&B. Lyrically, Dark Water Rising explores all themes of life, whether it is love, heartbreak, sacrifice, celebration, despair, or pain; all the while expressing their sentiment on issues affecting Native American communities. Along with Charly's powerful vocals, Dark Water Rising's live performances will overcome and captivate you. You can expect fun, good-time roots music that can be celebrated with friends, loved ones and family.

Following the success of their self titled debut, DWR is currently making plans to release their upcoming sophomore album "Grace & Grit: Chapter 1" due out in February 2013. "Dark Water Rising" has performed throughout the East Coast, has garnered considerable radio airplay, appeared on NPR's"The Story with Dick Gordon" and "The State of Things", and has earned a Native American Music Award for "Debut Duo or Group of the Year" (2010).

JAKE CLAYTON BAND

Genre: Newgrass/Alternative

JAKE CLAYTON is a multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, TN. Although considering fiddle to be his primary instrument, Jake also plays guitar, dobro, banjo, mandolin, lap steel, pedal steel, piano, bass, and more. In total, Jake plays 27 different instruments which also includes a list of orchestral instruments such as the viola, cello, and stand-up bass.
