BELLA VIDA ARTIST LINEUP:

Keller Williams

Keller Williams has built a career on his uncanny ability to captivate a packed house--all by himself. He's been called a "one-man band." A "solo cult-hero." "Music's mad-scientist." All of which are clever labels for what seems to be an essential truth: On stage, Keller Williams works alone. For over 100 shows a year, Williams has proven himself to be a master of improvisational performance art. In his one-man show, he pads barefoot from guitar to bass to percussion stations, using looping effects--and enough instruments to stock a strip-mall music store--to layer sound atop sound until the stage swirls with a full-blown composition. With a seemingly unquenchable thirst for all genres of music - bluegrass, jazz, and--who'd-a-thunk-it--hard rock - occasionally Williams puts unyielding faith in a backing band. Whether performing with solo or with Grateful Grass, Keller, Moseley, Droll and Sipe or Grunge Grass
(just a few of his "band" projects), Keller Williams knows best how to please a music hungry crowd.

Robby Krieger's Roadhouse Rebels

The Doors guitar legend Robby Krieger has sold over 70 million albums, and is listed in Rolling Stone's
ranking of the 100 Greatest Guitarists. For this special appearance, he'll perform with an allstar lineup of top players from the Los Angeles rock scene. Billed as Robby Krieger's Roadhouse Rebels, the band will debut original material, plenty of improvisation, as well as songs from each band member's repertoire (Oingo Boingo, The Doors, Particle, etc.). Robby has toured most recently with Doors band mate Ray Manzarek, and was also one of the featured guitarists on tour with the acclaimed Experience Hendrix Tour. This Bella Vida show will also reunite Robby with world renowned bassist John Avila (the two worked together on one of Robby's albums), and innovative keyboardist Steve Molitz (Particle, Phil Lesh & Friends), who most recently toured internationally with the global musical phenomenon, Playing For Change. Krieger and Molitz have shared the stage over the years in various projects, and Krieger is featured on Particle's 2006 live concert DVD 'Transformations.'

Robby Krieger's Roadhouse Rebels is:

Robby Krieger (The Doors) - guitar/vocals

Steve Molitz (Phil Lesh & Friends, Playing for Change, Particle) - keyboards/vocals

John Avila (Oingo Boingo, Mutaytor) - bass/vocals

John Molo
(Phil Lesh & Friends, Bruce Hornsby & the Range, John Fogerty)  - drums

Adam Iscove (Particle feat. Robby Krieger, Allrise) - vocals

Pretty Lights

Pretty Lights is the musical vision of the ultra-versatile Colorado based producer Derek Vincent Smith, accompanied in the live setting by drummer, Cory Eberhard. Together these two achieve a raw energy rarely reached in the realm of electronic music. At a time when music lovers from almost all subcultures and genres are finding common ground in the basic form of bangin' beats, Pretty Lights is giving the people what they want; electro organic cutting-edge party rocking beats that fill venues with energy and emotion and send dance floors into frenzies. What makes Pretty Lights truly different though, is that these beats have serious soul. Derek's latest album, "Filling Up The City Skies" is a two disc, 26 track journey through past, present, and future. He juxtaposes collages of beautiful vintage samples against
backdrops of futuristic synthesis and dirty broken beats, creating a sound that can snap your neck while simultaneously shedding your tears. The album has been downloaded over 30,000 times from the Pretty Lights website in the short 3 months since its release, proving that the PL sound is not only getting around, it's spreading like a virus.

Emmitt-Nershi Band

Drew Emmitt - As the dynamic lead singer and mandolin player with the popular jamband Leftover Salmon and his own Drew Emmitt Band, Drew is a true renaissance man on musical instruments. Playing mandolin, fiddle, acoustic and electric guitar, he's a string man to be reckoned with. Fans and peers alike marvel at his powerful crystal-clear, pitch-perfect vocal style. He excels in unique energy driven mandolin licks and his influences include a pantheon of musical heroes including Lowell George, Steve Morse, Duane Allman, John Cowan, Bill Monroe, Sam Bush, Hot Rize and New Grass Revival.

Bill Nershi - From the saloons of Telluride to the some of the most sought after venues in America, Bill Nershi has delighted countless fans as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of the String Cheese Incident. A seasoned veteran of flat-picking and a variety of acoustic styles, Nershi adds a unique, colorful perspective to virtually any musical situation he encounters, and his enthusiasm and playful spirit encourage an interactive, participatory experience for musicians and fans alike. His most recent forays into dobro, bass, and lap steel playing, as well as his accomplished songwriting contributions with the recently-formed Honkytonk Homeslice, prove that his musical horizons will only continue to expand.

EOTO (Thursday pre-party)

Jason Hann and Michael Travis (percussionist and drummer from The String Cheese Incident) make up this 100% improvised live Breakbeat/ House/ Drum n Bass/ Trip Hop project. Drawing from the ethos of some of the great DJ's and computer artists of the world, they use cutting edge technology to create truly original and melodic dance music in the moment, with the undeniable power of live drums.

moksha2
John Heishman - Bass & Vocals
Brian Triola - Organ, Keys & Vocals
Pat Gray - Drums & Percussion
Jeremy Parks - Guitar, Lap Steel & Vocals

Moksha's debut album, "Mammal or Machine", features lush horn arrangements. deep pocket grooves, soulful instrumental and vocal melodies. For "Mammal or Machine", Moksha combined their efforts with New Orleans funk guitar legend Brian Stoltz (Neville Brothers, Funky Meters, Bob Dylan and others), turntable veteran DJ Logic, Peter Apfelbaum and Santana's own Bill Ortiz/Jeff Cressman on horns. The album was mixed by James "Bonzai" Caruso (Madonna, Bono, David Bowie and Damian Marley) and Mastered by Gavin Lurssen (Phish/Joy, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss/Raising Sand and O'Brother Where Art Though). Both are multiple Grammy winners.

In true Moksha fashion, "Mammal or Machine" takes the listener on a journey that twists and turns through different landscape's of the musical palate with an excitingly fresh approach. Perfectly exemplified bu the way Moksha weaves the groove rock sound of "Blind to the Time" with soaring vocals and sweet horn lines into the British neo-soul sound of "Interface". Next, the album glides through the sultry funk of "Say U Will" which takes a few twists of its own when it transitions into a sublime fanfare movement and then launches off into outer-space with a Jungle/Dance finale. The Fact that they have such heavy hitters involved in the project insures the listener a smooth ride the whole way.

Explosive shows, filled with an arsenal of well-crafted material, have earned Moksha their reputation as Las Vegas' secret weapon. This well-oiled machine is now emerging from the glitz and glamour of Sin City and quickly garnering a solid following of loyal fans on the West Coast. With guitar, keys, bass, drums, and horns, this unique blend of musicians lives and breathes in a deep pocket of funk rock. Swirling in subtlety, their music paints a sonic landscape that unfolds in the moment and feeds on the dynamic ebb and flow of audience and band interconnection. In other words, they will melt your faces.

steppin

Steppin' Razor brings original, conscious roots rock reggae to the masses of the 21st Century, who not only seek an escape from the monotony, but also are inspired by positive vibrations.

This music is for those who crave something new, but familiar; revolutionary, yet classic. With the release of their debut CD, Gold In Rule, Steppin' Razor's next chapter unfolds.

Their shows have taken them from the casinos of Atlantic City to many of the legendary stages of Philadelphia including the World Cafe, backing Reggae superstar Cherine Anderson; from Connecticut to Ocean City, Maryland. Not ones to forget their roots, the band performs regularly in their hometown of West Chester, PA. A strong fan base was built while hosting Reggae night every Wednesday night for nearly three years at a local original music venue, Spence Cafe.
Having cultivated and nurtured their approach to Reggae, work began on a record of Steppin' Razor originals. As it progressed, the band realized that it would be possible to create EVERYTHING themselves and keep all production in-house, save for the CD replication. The result is 2009's Gold In Rule. The full length album was written, produced, engineered, recorded, and mastered by the members of Steppin' Razor. Even the artwork and photography, except for 4 pictures (courtesy of Aaron Owens) were done completely by the band.

3legged

Philadelphia-based Three Legged Fox became a fixture on the eastern rock circuit after winning the University of Delaware's 2006 Battle of the Bands -- their first performance. The ensuing four years have seen 3LF expand their regional fan base as far east as Massachusetts, as far west as Ohio, and north to south from New York to North Carolina, performing regularly at scores of top venues. They have shared the stage with such national recording artists as Jeffrey Gaines, SOJA, Rebelution, John Brown's Body, Passafire, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and Ballyhoo, and are planning their own national tour in support of their second album, "Not as Far" (2009).

The band's first album, "Ideas," (2006) received airplay on more than 170 radio stations nationwide, and led to support from one of Philadelphia's leading alternative stations, Clear Channel's Radio 104.5-FM, where they performed two live broadcasts and earned a spot on the station's "Locals Live" compilation CD.

Members Kyle Wareham (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Brody (lead guitar), Mark Carson (bass), and Kory Kochersperger (drums), compose the band's original songs together with a deft, nuanced style that blends Wareham's soulful vocals with the band's sophisticated instrumental stylings, enhancing their songcraft rather than competing with it -- the mark of a mature musical approach.

3LF's second album, "Not As Far," was produced by prominent recording engineer/producer Chris DiBeneditto at Philadelphonic Studios, and features guest performances by members of several national acts including G. Love & Special Sauce, Slightly Stoopid (both fellow Philadelphonic recording artists), SOJA, and John Brown's Body. Fans will find plenty of the reggae influences that marked their first album, but the band's continuing evolution as it explores other aspects of the "organic roots rock" genre is evident in the increasing variety of influences to be heard among the album's 13 songs.

Ifdakar's pursuit of musical growth and experimental improvisation create an experience not to be forgotten. Hailing from Appleton/Madison, Wisconsin, this six-piece band has garnered recognition from their live performances where the band channels elements of psychedelic rock, funk, jazz, reggae, and electronica.

From songs that are tragic, to songs that transcend, Ifdakar showcases an array of improvisational jamming and elaborately structured pieces that are steeped in influences such as Phish, Lotus, Pink Floyd, STS9, and many others.  This spectrum allows for dense musical freedom, to tension-and-release madness.

Since 2008, Ifdakar has delivered over 115 performances in and around the Midwest including headlining slots at the Grateful Garcia Gathering, and Campout Roots Festival, as well as appearances at Bella Madre, Summerfest, the Great Midwestern Harvestfest, Steel Bridge Songfest, and the Feel Good Festival.  2010 gets even more electrifying with yet another headlining slot at the Grateful Garcia Gathering, with Melvin Seals, and another trip to the Bella Fest for the Thursday night pre-party with EOTO.

Ifdakar's reputation continues to grow positively after each performance.  From the intimate audience connections that stir, to the dark and spacey jams that take hold, Ifdakar is about musical dialogue between each other and their growing audience.
