Everyone Orchestra Adds Winter 2016 Shows in Colorado and the Midwest!
Eddie Roberts, Chuck Morris added to Everyone Orchestra at Barkley Fri-Sat 12/18-19

PORTLAND, OR -- Everyone Orchestra is happy to announce the addition of a handful of winter shows after they return from Jam Cruise. They will play in Beaver Creek, Colorado at Vilar performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 14th and then head over to Denver for a two night stand at Cervantes for the venue's 14th Year Anniversary Party on January 15-16th. Early March has EO returning to the midwest with shows at The Ark in Ann Arbor (3/2), Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo (3/3), 1st Ward at the Chop Shop in Chicago (3/4), the Majestic Theatre in Madison (3/5), and The Cabooze in Minneapolis (3/6). Stay tuned for artist announcements for the Winter shows!

EO is also is excited about their two night run at The Barkley Ballroom in Frisco, Co on Fri-Sat, December 18-19, 2015 to help the venue celebrate its 3rd Anniversary and have announced the additions of Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds - guitar) for both nights, Chuck Morris (Lotus - percussion) and Amanda Renee for Friday, as well as Scott Stoughton (Bonfire Dub) on Saturday.

Conducted by Matt Butler, and already set to perform at the Barkley are Al Schnier (moe. - guitar, vacals), Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident - percussion/drums), Bridget Law (Elephant Revival - fiddle), Jay Starling (Love Canon - dobro), Sage Cook (we dream dawn - guitar, vocals), Adrian Engfer (The Grant Farm - bass). The Grant Farm opens the show!

Having marched clearly into uncharted territory, Everyone Orchestra is an avant-garde conceptual and collaborative performance which deeply encourages and requires audience interaction. Both the band and the audience start the show with a clean slate to help co-create a dynamic musical experience, with Butler receiving ideas from the audience to help set the course of action.

Butler's unique style of conducting is groundbreaking in that he, as EO's founder, has essentially created an entirely new way to perform and experience music. Butler says, "Playing with different musicians, improvising every night, and getting the crowd involved in ways that they can't be at a regular show has provided an unparalleled live music experience."

This week marks 18th birthday of band and 2500+ shows

Among other milestones it's crossing this week, Dark Star Orchestra is finally old enough to vote. The band enters into its 18th year of performing on 11/11/15, the anniversary of their first performance in 1997; while later this same week, the band will perform its 2500th show at the House of Blues in Boston, MA on November 18. This milestone is just one of many that Dark Star Orchestra has crossed, having already eclipsed the actual number of performances the Grateful Dead shared in their 30-year career.

The numerical milestones aside, the band today announces noteworthy plans for its New Year's Eve at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia with a duo of nights December 30 & 31. In the spirit of Bill Graham's classic NYE celebrations, DSO has joined forces with the legendary West Coast festival design team at Peak Experience Productions. The key to the celebration is participation in DSO's theme of "Let It Shine!". The band wants to know what you are grateful for and what you want to shine some love and light on in 2016. There are creative plans to include each fans' thoughts and wishes as part of the New Year's show. Various engaging activities including a costume contest, all while presenting a multi-media journey featuring cirque performers, audience participation and a musical exploration for all who are present. Tickets for both nights at the Electric Factory are available at http://bit.ly/DSO_Philly.

Soon after 2016 rings in with a four night, Cosmic New Year celebration run, Dark Star Orchestra returns to Jamaica for their fourth incursion of the Jam in the Sand Festival. Less than twenty rooms remain at press time for the event happening January 19 - 23, 2016 at the Jewel Paradise Cover in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. DSO performs four full nights, two sets per night and they're joined by Steve Kimock's Tribute to Jerry Garcia and Peter Rowan's Bluegrass Band. Details on remaining available packages for the all-inclusive event can be found at www.DSOJamInTheSand.com. A video showing footage from this year's Jam in the Sand Festival can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-fXMn8AwMk.

Bruce Hornsby, The Wood Brothers, Shakey Graves, Railroad Earth among initial artists

Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, The Wood Brothers, Shakey Graves, Rich Robinson, Railroad Earth and Anders Osborne weave some of the 'dream' that is FloydFest 16 "Dreamweavin'," the latest annual offering of the Southeast's premier summer outdoor music festival, which takes place July 27-31, 2016.

Across-the-Way Productions released early-bird tickets for FloydFest 16 at noon on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, via www.floydfest.com, in tandem with a sampling of the lineup that will descend on Floyd, Va., for the "16th" annual event.

The initial artist lineup rounds out with Nahko and Medicine for the People, Elephant Revival, Pimps of Joytime, Monophonics, Otis Taylor Band, The Larry Keel Experience, Con Brio, Banditos, The Legendary Shack Shakers, Dustbowl Revival, Head for the Hills, Honey Island Swamp Band and The Congress. Another round of artists are due to be announced Nov. 30 and then again in December, according to Kris Hodges, producer and CEO.

"This year's lineup represents what we at AtWP love most: non-hype roots music that delivers soul-wrenching, heart-drenching performances every time," Hodges said. "When you strip away the hype, what's left is the core or soul of anything. Strip our artists and us down and we'll show you what we mean ... and have fun, to boot! No roots. No tree. It's simple."

With a successful FloydFest 14 in the rearview mirror, the AtWP team is inspired for the year of programming and purpose ahead, and also ready to have some fun in honor of the approaching leap year.

"We saw the opportunity to streamline intersecting with the serendipity of a leap year (2016), and just decided to have a little fun; we leapfrogged FloydFest 15 -- just dropped it -- and decided to become FloydFest 16, in 2016. It's so much easier already!" Erika Johnson, co-founder, said.

"Dreamweavin' 16 represents the ever persistent need to forge your own path, to evolve and change for the better," Hodges said. "I feel like, in a lot of ways, we had FloydFest 15 while no one was looking as we delved deep to deliver the spectacular renaissance that was FloydFest 14. However, we'll be introducing a very special surprise 'Lost in Time' treat at the upcoming FF16 event. Stay tuned."

Some small surprises were realized via Nov. 1's early-bird ticket release, such as the return of the X-Spot Onsite Parking Pass, a limited-release ticket that allows patrons to park in the immediate vicinity of music and camping, as well as a fully redesigned website, www.floydfest.com. In addition to enjoying 40-percent discounts off gate pricing, early-bird ticket purchasers now have access to all ticket-types offered from the start (except single-day tickets), including the HOV-EZ Pass green-carpooling options, which represent significant savings for families and friends.

Voted 'Best Outdoor Music Festival,' FloydFest is also selling tickets to its Outdoor Adventure programs during the early-bird ticket on-sale, including its popular On-the-Water Guided Float Trips and Belcher Mountain Beatdown mountain-bike excursion.

A token of gratitude to time-honored FloydFest fans, AtWP continues its Alumni Program in 2016, with all patrons that purchase prior to Dec. 31, 2015, joining the FloydFest Alumni family. In addition to frozen ticket prices for a period of years, FF Alumni enjoy special parties and perks throughout the year and at AtWP events. A nod of local appreciation is also returning with the 'Local Folkal' discount for residents of Floyd and Patrick counties, which begins in mid-November.

FloydFest is located at Milepost 170.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd, Va. Detailed directions are available by clicking to www.floydfest.com.

Early-bird tickets for FloydFest 16 are available by clicking to www.floydfest.com.

Donna the Buffalo and Peter Rowan, are teaming up with Ben Cohen, Co-Founder of Ben Jerry's, for a unique tour called “The Stampede.”

"United to Stamp $ Out of Politics" on The Stampede Tour

"This tour is extremely unique. In the 60s and 70s, music and politics were closely related, but it seems like that has been waning in the present. Having the Stampede come through AMH is refreshing, and I think many fans will embrace the opportunity to be a part of something bigger. "
--Becky Blumenthal, Marketing Director at The Ardmore Music Hall

ASHEVILLE, NC -- American roots music troubadours, Donna the Buffalo and Peter Rowan, are teaming up with Ben Cohen, Co-Founder of Ben Jerry's, for a unique tour called "The Stampede." It is a tour to raise awareness to the inappropriate use of corporate money in politics. With the upcoming election season, this is to help raise awareness of the power of each individual while enjoying a great night of entertainment.

The Stampede is led by Ben Cohen, Co-Founder of Ben and Jerry's. It uses a simple and effective tactic of rubber stamping messages on paper currency as a demonstration of public demand and outrage. "Since 2000, special interest groups have poured over $11 billion into federal elections. The absurd level of money in politics from corporations and billionaires is raping and corrupting our democracy. The Stampede is a demonstration of public outrage and it's working," stated Cohen.

Tara Nevins says in an interview with Live For Live Music, "Tens of thousands of people are doing it, using the dollars like a political billboard to get the message across, which is an effort to take money out of politics." Nevins continues, "One of them says 'Not to be used for bribing politicians' and you just stamp that on your dollar bill."
"As a band, we have made a long-term commitment to join this burgeoning movement," says Jeb Puryear of Donna the Buffalo. "It is clear to us that we will never get significant government action on issues like health care, student debt, wall street banks, the environment, and corporate tax evasion until we outlaw legalized corporate bribery of our politicians."

By special arrangement Stampede rubber stamps, which normally sell for $10, will be available at the shows for a suggested donation of $5. Every stamped bill gets seen by 875 people once it goes into circulation. If 3000 stampers stamps three bills a day for a year it will create 2.8 BILLION impressions as the bills go into circulation. To sweeten the deal, FREE Ben & Jerry's ice cream coupons will be given away in with the purchase of the first fifty stamps sold per show. The Stampede is a project of People Power Initiatives, a Vermont-based 501c3 non-profit organization.

"It's totally legal and it's very satisfying to stamp a stack of bills knowing you're part of a growing grassroots movement putting this message out there," says Puryear.
Together, we can create a stampede that Congress can't ignore," says Ben Cohen the co-founder of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. "Some people say that a constitutional amendment is impossible, but nearly every generation has amended the Constitution to protect and expand our democracy. This is our generation's fight to win."

The Stampede will continue into the election year with Donna, Ben, and various friends. They kick it off with Grammy-award winner and six-time Grammy nominee Peter Rowan in the fall of 2015.

Peter Rowan's career spans over five decades, from his early years playing under the tutelage of Bluegrass veteran Bill Monroe, to his time in Old & In the Way and breakout as a solo musician and bandleader, Rowan has built a devoted, international fan base through a solid stream of records, collaborative projects, and constant touring. Rowan often performs as a solo singer-songwriter internationally and stateside he plays in three bands: the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, a quintet featuring Keith Little, Chris Henry, Blaine Sprouse and Paul Knight; Big Twang Theory and its Texas Cousin Twang n Groove, as well as rock band The Free Mexican Air Force.

Donna the Buffalo has played festivals throughout the States with Peter a plethora of times over the years, often collaborating on stage with sit ins and they toured together for a bit about 15 years ago. Peter Rowan says of The Stampede, "At last, it comes around again; making music with Donna the Buffalo, one of my favorites." For these shows Peter will be playing solo for about 45 minutes then Donna will play a set with Peter joining in at the end.

One of the most dynamic and determined bands continuously touring America for the past 26 years, Donna the Buffalo has created a community environment at their shows through their distinctive, groove-heavy, and danceable music. Donna the Buffalo is a band for the people that is accessible, positive, and memorable. With roots in old-time fiddle music that evolved into a soulful electric American mix infused with elements of cajun/ zydeco, rock, folk, reggae, and country, Donna's music often contains social and moral responsibility as core beliefs, and they are just simply fun to get out and celebrate life with. Donna the Buffalo is Jeb Puryear (vocals, electric guitar) and Tara Nevins (vocals, guitar, fiddle, accordion, scrub board) joined by David McCracken (Hammond organ, Honer Clavinet & piano), Kyle Spark (bass) and Mark Raudabaugh (drums).

Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas Oct 16-18, 2015

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!

Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival Announces
Lunar Landing Conspiracy & Artist in Residence

Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival is thrilled to announce that the Everyone Orchestra will be the curator for the Lunar Landing Conspiracy for the 2015 festival. The second annual three-day festival will take place on the picturesque Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas Oct 16-18, 2015. Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival is a multi-day camping event that will feature four distinct components: feel good music, performance art, visual art and the Sanctuary; plus an eclectic variety of activities and attractions.

Lunar Landing Conspiracy is a highly anticipated annual headlining experience and Phases of the Moon's signature event presented by a newly featured "Curator" each year. The curator's challenge is to conceptualize and orchestrate a full concert set utilizing the talented cast of musicians, performers and artists present at Phases of the Moon Festival.

Everyone Orchestra's conductor, Matt Butler has been leading a rotating cast of accredited musicians through shows that are entirely improvised. In 2012, Butler gathered well-known musicians from Phish and moe. to record Everyone Orchestra's first studio album, Brooklyn Sessions, which was largely improvised. "The experience of playing with different musicians, improvising every night, and getting the crowd involved in ways that they can't be at a regular show has provided an unparalleled live music experience," said Butler. The list of Everyone Orchestra participants is an increasingly wide and intercontinental group including members of The Grateful Dead, Phish, Furthur, Ratdog, Trey Anastasio Band, Gov't Mule, String Cheese Incident, moe. and the Allman Brothers Band.

In addition to the Lunar Landing Conspiracy announcement, Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival is also excited to welcome the 2015 Artist in Residence, Larry Keel. Larry Keel is described by reviewers and fans as the most powerful, innovative and all-out exhilarating acoustic flat picking guitarist performing today. Masterful song-writing, fierce playing, gritty good-time charm and a deep earthy voice all create the signature style that has earned Keel the highest respect and billing among the top acoustic and jam rock artists today. Larry will also be performing his Larry Does Jerry All Star Jam & the Larry Keel Experience over the weekend.

The Phases of the Moon Artist in Residence is designed to showcase an artist over the course of the weekend. The concept is flexible and free flowing allowing the artist full creative expression including but not limited to multiple artist "sit-in/collaboration" (both musical & visual) of their choosing throughout the entire event as well as solo impromptu shows, meet & greets and more.

Phase Three Passes, as well as Camping, RV Unreserved, VIP Passes and Weekend Passes are on sale now. For more information on Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival please visit: http://potm.us.

Photos & Review Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit at the Ritz in Raleigh NC
Original ARU does a rare tour to celebrate their 26th Anniversary!

The original lineup of Aquarium Rescue Unit will always have a special place in my heart. They were one of the main bands (along with Phish & Widespread Panic) that forced me to become a lifelong diehard fan of "jambands". In 1992 I was a DJ at a big rock station. On Sundays I had a two hour show called "The Sunday Night Alternative" that allowed me a bit of free reign as far as what could be played (vary rare on commercial radio).
