Indie

Rainmaker

Rainmaker is a 4-piece band from the San Francisco Bay Area. They blend vintage and modern sounds and draw upon Roots Music, Indie Rock, Funk, and Soul.

The Slip

September 12, 1991, first day of high school. . .three hard-rocking adolescents convene in Jazz Band 101 and attempt the Miles Davis composition So What, insisting, much to Mr. Sanborn's dismay, that it be played with a driving backbeat, distorted guitar, and John Bonham drum fills. Things haven't changed all that much. The members of The Slip, brothers Brad and Andrew Barr and Marc Friedman, have been playfully altering song forms and establishing a shared vocabulary ever since.

SeepeopleS

SeepeopleS is a four piece electronic indie rock band hailing from Asheville, NC, that brings an intense, driving, yet melodic rock show featuring an eclectic video feed made by the band and the occasional on-stage antics--think Modest Mouse meets the Flaming Lips with a dash of Wilco.

Perpetual Groove

Perpetual Groove has become a rock band. That’s the impression fans got when they heard one of the rock & roll tracks from Perpetual Groove’s new album, LIVELOVEDIE at the band’s sold out New Year’s Eve performance.

Lotus

For those waiting for a concert experience with the dynamics of a rock band (read: no laptops), the dance inducing rhythms of club music, and the sophistication of modern electronica, an unlikely musical alternative has arrived in the form of the band Lotus.

Bump

Labeled an art-space jamband by some, and an electronic indie-pop band by others, it’s clear that Metro Detroit’s Bump is poised to explode on the scene!

Future Rock

Organic instruments + electronic synthesis + clever song writing. Three musicians exist in a web of sound constructed electronically with the use of live samples. The audience dances at the show and hums the melody at home. Future Rock.
