Phish - Niagra Falls (3 CD) - All new 3-CD set recorded live on December 7, 1995 at Niagara Falls Convention Center in Niagara Falls, NY. December 1995 was a universally recognized high point for Phish. The band found themselves at Niagara Falls - straddling the border between the United States and Canada beside the fastest flowing, highest, most powerful waterfall in North America.
"Niagara Falls" was recorded by Paul Languedoc to 2-track DAT and mastered by Fred Kevorkian. Poor Heart (the slow version) from the soundcheck is included on the third disc.
All CD sets come with a free set of MP3s of the entire show, as well as a unique code to access exclusive video content from this show.
Passafire - Vines CD - Passafire is back with their fifth studio album, Vines. Vines is the band’s debut release for leading reggae label Easy Star Records. Since the 2011 release of their chart-topping (#1 Billboard and iTunes Reggae) album Start From Scratch, the Savannah, GA-based quartet continues to raise their profile to the top of the exploding U.S. reggae scene.
Vines is Passafire’s most ambitious release to date, thanks in large part to the focus of the current line-up – singer/guitarist Ted Bowne, drummer Nick Kubley, bassist/vocalist Will Kubley and keyboardist Mike DeGuzman. The results find its makers at a creative peak combined with a comfort level on stage and in the studio that Passafire has never achieved before. Early critical praise of Vines is already coming in, with The Pier enthusiastically stating, “…the tracks have a maturity and depth to them, traits gained only by working out material together on the road.”

This collection features songs from all six of Trampled's albums, including favorites "Wait So Long" and "Alone" as well as rarities "Codeine" and Trampled's version of the Pixies classic, "Where is My Mind?". The Hip Abduction - One Less Sound CD - The Hip Abduction mixes reggae, rock, and African traditions to create their own unique sound. With heavy emphasis placed on African stringed instruments (kora, ngoni), dub-reggae-inspired bass lines, and funky afro-beat percussion, the band's high-energy performances have won them a loyal statewide following. Formed on the gulf coast of Florida in 2009, The Hip Abduction has quickly grown from just a few African instrument playing surfers to a full-blown 7-piece reggae powerhouse.
Produced by Jim DeVito (Donavon Frankenreiter/ Mofro) and Jody Gray, "One Less Sound" draws more heavily on their South African and Malian influences, the record drenched in island-swaying rhythms and Afro-flecked guitar melodies, and littered with hip-shaking funk-jazz grooves and tight multi-horn arrangements. Studio cuts of better-known THA tracks like the slow-groove bounce of "Love Foundation" and breezier "Sun King" are interspersed with newer numbers like the uplifting, anthemic "Someday I'm Going Away." The band's use of instruments like the 21-string Kora and lyre-like Nyatiti adds to the album's worldly flavor, and take center stage on the LP's vocal-free tracks.
BIG Something - BIG Something CD - Breakout rockers The BIG Something have just released their highly-anticipated new self-titled studio album to follow up their award winning 2010 debut 'Stories from the Middle of Nowhere' - which was named Home Grown Music Network's 2010 Studio Album of the Year. With several years of relentless touring experience now under their belt, the band has crafted a powerful sound that is refreshingly original and yet classic in its approach. In a digital age of popular music dominated by programmed computers, BIG Something is a breath of fresh air: a straight up rock band that calls upon a diverse range of sounds created and performed live by 6 musicians on real instruments. This signature sound can be hard to fully describe, but the song craft is instantly recognizable with arena sized rock grooves, dirty funk and dance rhythms layered with lush electronic embellishments and soulfully triumphant vocals. This new self-titled album showcases the band at their best and on the verge of something BIG!
The Hip Abduction - The Hip Abduction CD - The Hip Abduction mixes reggae, rock, and African traditions to create their own unique sound. Formed on the gulf coast of Florida in 2009, The Hip Abduction has quickly grown from just a few African instrument playing surfers to a full-blown 7-piece reggae powerhouse.
The sophomore album produced by Michael Goldwasser (The Green, Matisyahu) finds The Hip Abduction crafting a solid American reggae album, along with the vintage-hued Afrobeat with tight brass, brawny elastic low-end grooves, and percussive-fueled rhythms.

Little Feat - American Cutie - Ebbets Field, Denver, CO, 7/19/1973 CD - Previously unreleased 1973 broadcast of Little Feat performing songs from their acclaimed album Dixie Chicken and more. On the evening of Thursday 19th July 1973, Little Feat played two shows in the intimate surrounds of Ebbets Field in Colorado, with the team from KCUV FM on hand to broadcast both. The two sets performed featured similar track-lists, and while this CD features the late show in its entirety, as a bonus the three tracks from the earlier performances that weren't played again, are also included here.
Dr. John - The Lost Broadcast CD -A wonderful slice of New Orleans funk history that would certainly qualify as rare grooves. This 1973 recording of Dr John's glorious live set in Hempstead, NY 1973 is one of the only documents of the actual everyday working band of this period and this FM Broadcast catches them on a really, really good day. This is simply the best damn Dr John album you never heard (previously!).
