Les Racquet - Whale Hail CD - Les Racquet is an indie rock power trio with three-part vocal harmonies and virtuosic musicianship. This album was recorded as a retrospective representation of the first year as a touring band, from the gypsy life style and living out of a suitcase, to the serene moments that remind us of our humanistic spirituality, and for all the celebrations and hardships. For that, we stand up and proclaim, "Whale Hail!"
Hackensaw Boys - For the Love of a Friend CD - Kinderdijk, Netherlands - On February 15th, 2012, Rene Verkerk was killed while working on the scoop-wheel of his number six windmill. In the weeks following his death, friends and family gathered round and found the Hackensaw Boys were a mutual passion and comfort. Rene was a huge fan of theirs and permeated most of his relationships with their music. In March 2012, Rene's friends contacted the band and asked if they would play in celebration of their fallen brother. The Hackensaw Boys proudly accepted.
On May 24th, 2012, over 200 friends gathered in Cafe De Klok, the local pub, for Rene's celebration. From this memorial show, comes Hackensaw Boys - For the Love of a Friend, a 16 track CD including Keep It Simple and Can't Catch Me, along with a 35 minute bonus DVD documenting the story, as well as the show.
Whitewater Ramble - Roots & Groove CD - The band has welcomed back Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth as producer for the second time. Carbone worked with the band on their genre-bending debut release All Night Drive in 2010.
The band will celebrate the release with an intimate listening party at Avogadro's Number in Ft. Collins on 3/26/13 sponsored by KRFC 88.9 FM. The album will play in it's entirety and the band will perform several stripped down tunes including the new single "Mr. Banker Man." In March and April, the band will strike out on a Roots & Groove tour across Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, California and Wyoming including a special Colorado release show at Wildflower Pavilion on 3/29/13. Full tour dates will be announced soon.
"This release marks significant growth as a band from our debut album to our sophomore release," says Patrick Sites (mandolin, vocals). "Everything from songwriting, to vocal and harmonies to instrumentation have taken major leaps ahead. All Night Drive was a lot of jams, hype, fast tempos, but lacking on the song side of things. We've now settled into a blend of what we call "Roots & Groove." Our roots in bluegrass and Americana are still very strong and we really have some meaningful songs with messages and things we believe and feel, but the grooves are also a key element of these songs and necessary to keep feet moving and the dance party aspect, it's a great blend. 2013 will be the biggest and best year this band has seen, with a management team behind us and new and mature record to put in people's hands, the band is poised and ready to make the leap into the national festival scene."

Grateful Dead - Dead Ahead DVD - The eight-night Radio City stand marked the only time the Dead would play at the magnificent Art Deco landmark, one of the most famous theaters in the world. For these special shows, which came on the heels of engagements at the Warfield in San Francisco and the Saenger Theater in New Orleans, the band opened each show with an acoustic set. For the first time in more than a decade, fans were treated to this rarest of treats. Dead Ahead presents highlights of those sets (including "Bird Song," "On The Road Again" and "Ripple"), as well as some of the peak moments from the Dead's full-on electric performances (among them "Lost Sailor/Saint of Circumstance," "Franklin's Tower," "Good Lovin'" and much more). There are also bonus features not included on the original video release, including an acoustic instrumental rendition of "Heaven Help The Fool," and electric versions of "Shakedown Street," "Samson and Delilah," "He's Gone" and "Truckin'".
The "Saturday Night Live" writing/performing team of Al Franken (years before his reinvention as a progressive political gadfly) and Tom Davis, staunch Dead Heads both, are on hand to provide comic relief as the Dead's very unpopular "opening act" and as most unwelcome dressing-room troublemakers. They even manage to get Henry Kissinger into the act as an extremely unlikely bootlegger.
Grateful Dead - Ticket to New Years DVD - Recorded at the historic 1987 Oakland Coliseum concert, TICKET TO NEW YEARS brings over two and a half hours of classic Grateful Dead. This LIVE performance captures the thrill and excitment of the world's number one touring band.
