Jackson Browne & David Lindley - Palm Meadows Benefit 1978 (2CD)

Jackson Browne's fifth studio album Running On Empty came out at the end of 1977, and hit big on Billboard, reaching a respectable no.3 placing and staying on the chart 65 weeks, with the title track reaching no. 11 on the singles list. The following year Browne performed 45 concerts around the US, many of which were benefit gigs. One of the finest he played on this tour came on 28th April when, alongside his old buddy, the multi-instrumentalist David Lindley, the pair performed a dynamic set at The Township Auditorium, Columbia, in South Carolina, in aid of the Palm Meadows Charitable Trust. With John Sebastian too helping out on harmonica and BVs for a few numbers, the whole concert was recorded for live FM Broadcast, and this 2CD now includes the full, magisterial Browne/Lindley set, released here for the first time.
