i love phish and i like snoop dogg, but why are they playing the same festival. the only reason these large festivals work is cause the crowd has primarily been heads. heads who get the community concept. i like the idea of spreading the word, but in case you havent listened, even though he puffs tough and gets down in his doggy dog style, snoop is still a gangsta rappa with all the energy that brings.and bruce springsteen??? what the @$^&.i why not kenny chesny and nofx and brittney spears and mettalica oh yeah that was last year. anyways this isn't the festival experience im looking for
With the exception of Bruce Springsteen, I'm pretty impressed with the lineup. There's like 30+ acts I would love to see. Sure, it's not a "Jamtastic" lineup but I welcome the other genres. There's a lot of good music out there to be seen and heard. You just need to be a little more open minded:)

i love a lot of different music . its not close mindedness, its awareness. i hope you dont experience any of the trouble i forsee. they are blending a lot of energies that dont mix well. in a perfect world maybe everyone would be mature enough to work it out and learn from the differences. but this aint a perfect world, and mix in a bunch of drugs. boom trouble. i hope it works out great and im usually not pessimistic, and i dont like to spread fear but im scared of bonnaroo.remember woodstock 98 if you dont maybe your not old enough to know what im talking about
Yeah, I hear ya...but Bonnaroo has been doing this kind of lineup for a while. I've been to all of them except for 1. The vibe is crazy but nothing has happened (that I'm aware of) like some of the stuff I see at some of these "all Jam band" type festivals I've been to - stabbings, strip tents, pistol whippings, a guy stabbing himself with an ice pick, etc. You get stupid schwilly kids at just about any festival. Woodstock 98 was an unfortunate incident. There have been many more like it (festivals) since - Lalapalooza, Coachella, etc. I do an average of about 12 festivals a year and Bonnaroo is not the shadiest on my list and I see a lot of shady stuff. Anyways, a festival setting is perfect for me to see some of these acts. I can't imagine myself going to see Snoop Dog by himself at some other venue...I'll go see him at Bonnaroo, tho;)
