Eymarel

The duo EYMAREL (pronounced emma-rehl), is a refreshing blend of head-bobbin grooves, smooth organ-ic improv, and sultry pop melodies. Eymarel combines the talents of Mary Frances, (vocals, keys, and bass), and Lee Allen, (drums and electronics).

Once the two discovered each other's passion for both creating and playing music, they quickly decided to combine their journeys with hopes to spread their unique sound and positive energy. Eymarel explodes with an electric connection resulting in a captivating musical experience and on-stage aura, enticing both the eyes and ears of their listeners up and down the East Coast. Eymarel has had the pleasure of recently becoming part of the Homegrown Music Network as well as sharing the stages with some great acts along the way such as, Jazz Mandolin Project, DJ Le Spam and the Spam Allstars, The Jerry Garcia Band feat. Melvin Seals, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, and many others.

Mary Frances's musical journey began on the piano under the classical training of Frances Scott Carter as well as the teachings of her fathers rock-n-roll-soul outfit. She continued her education during college at Appalachian State University with piano professor Dr. Bair Shagdaron. Her years of classical training have set the stage for the transposition into the world of playing both bass and keys simultaneously. Mary Frances also adds an additional dynamic twist to the music with her smooth, enchanting voice. Mary's passionate vocals create a perfect compliment to her soulful key and bass groove.

Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band

When the Booty Band hits the stage, everybody dances! These seven guys from Asheville, NC mix triumphant horns, laid-back grooves, and heavy backbeats to encompass many styles of music that can only be described as one… Bounce Music. The swarms of swaying bodies at their shows testify to their thick thump and boundless energy. The Booty Band cuts to the core of what great live music is all about: having fun and feeling good. Their energy is contagious and instantly transforms the average night out into an evening to remember.

It began as a party, grew into a band, evolved into a sound, and emerged as an institution.
Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band (aka the Booty Band) has gone through many
changes since their fated onset in 2002. Today they are ready to shake the world, one

cheek at a time.

The band’s first official studio release, Now You Know, debuted in 2007 to critical
acclaim. The Booty Band received Home Grown Music Network’s “Album of the Year”
and “Band of the Year” awards, as well as the #3 best regional album from WNCW, one
of the top Triple A stations in the country. Awe-inspiring live shows, powerful original
compositions, and crowd-pleasing presentations have helped the Booty Band build a
solid nationwide fanbase. Having completed three national tours in 2010 alone, the
band has worked hard and done well to keep this fanbase fired up and growing fast.
They have secured headlining slots at many prestigious festivals including Wakarusa,
Jam Cruise, Bear Creek, Jazz Aspen, Long Beach Funk Fest, Rock Boat, Bele Chere
(six consecutive years), Floyd Fest, and Smile Fest.

Their second studio album, Doin’ It Hard, is a reflection of the band’s approach to

music, touring, performing, recording, and life in general. Recorded in June 2010 at the
City of Progress Studios in Miami, FL under the cultivated ear of DJ Le Spam (Andrew
Yeomanson), Doin’ It Hard is Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band - next-generation, redefined
for a new decade. Doin’ It Hard is slated for a May 2011 release and will be available
on 12” vinyl, compact disc, and digital download from all of your favorite online providers.

Barefoot Manner announce release of Consonance

barefoot4.jpg
The word “consonance” is defined in Webster’s Dictionary, as “an accord or agreement of sounds produced simultaneously, as a note with its third, fifth, and eighth. Also, an agreement or congruity; harmony; accord; consistency; suitableness. A friendship; concord.” This is also the title of Barefoot Manner’s newest album. Aptly titled, Consonance is their audible version of this ideal.
