10ft Ganga Plant - 10 Deadly Shots Vol II CD - A secret West Coast Cessna lands and the start of a special weekend begins. It's time to dust off the vintage equipment and instruments. The day starts with a tape machine calibration to +6 250nWb. The Gibson Super 400 plucks a bass line as the drums make a drop. The Hammond growls in the space as the Jazzmaster links with the piano to set the pulse; all the while the Hofner thumps a melody down low. This record was recorded on 1975 MCI JH-16 tape machine. The tracks were all mixed on a Trident 80B console with various spring reverbs and tape echo devices where they met with 1/4 inch tape machine that was then delivered to Kevin Metcalfe for mastering in London. This is the making of very special record featuring our longtime friend The Aggrolites keyboard king Roger Rivas! We now present to you 10 Deadly Shots Vol.II. Let the Music Hit!

Everyone Orchestra - Brooklyn Sessions CD - Now, for the first time, Everyone Orchestra has taken the conducted improvisation concept mastered in their legendary live shows into the studio on Brooklyn Sessions. Conductor Matt Butler invited past collaborators--musical friends like drummer Jon Fishman (Phish), keyboardist/pianist Marco Benevento, Al Schnier (moe.), Jen Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), guitarist Steve Kimock, saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), vocalist/percussionist Jans Ingber (The Motet), mandolinist Jamie Masefield (Jazz Mandolin Project) and bassist Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green), to join him for several days of exploration and co-creation. The results range from hard-hitting grooves that take unexpected twists and turns ("Boots"), to sweet and expansive ("Pensive"), all with a spirit that is both liberated and focused.

Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad - In These Times CD - The album contains 12 tracks mixed by Atlanta-based producer Billy Hume (Nas, STS9, Ludacris, Josh Ritter), and dubbed by the band's long-time engineer Joel Scanlon. Guests appearances on the album include Hawaii's The Green and John Brown's Body's horn section. In These Times comes as the follow-up to the group's lyrically-driven roots Americana album, Country, which came out earlier this year.

"I think it would be fair to say that this is the album that long-time Panda fans have been waiting for," says drummer Chris O'Brian.

Trampled By Turtles - Stars & Sattelites CD - Trampled By Turtles has been building momentum on the road since the 2010 releaseof their last record, Palomino. They ve sold out 95% of the shows played in 2011 as well as playing the main stage at divergent festivals such as Coachella and Telluride. Melding rock, punk, and indie influences, TBT is breathing new life into a traditional music form. The momentum of this band combined with their diverse appeal and the gorgeous new album, Stars and Satellites, is sure to make 2012 the year of Trampled By Turtles.

Ohmphrey - Posthaste CD - OHMphrey, a jamband supergroup, which features three members of the prog rock/veteran jam band Umphrey's McGee (keyboardist Joel Cummins, guitarist Jake Cinninger and drummer Kris Myers), and OHM guitarist (former Megadeth guitarist), Chris Poland and bassist Robertino Pagliari (a.k.a. "Pag").

OHMphrey's latest effort, the unforgettable, and soon-to-be-classic, Posthaste, finds these five extraordinary artists creating instrumental music with a unified voice - once again. The album's seven original instrumental compositions, and two bonus live tracks ("Firestarter" and "20/20") recorded at Winston's in San Diego in 2009, never meander. Simply put, Posthaste contains some of the most thought-provoking, elastic and heavy jam band music this side of A Live One, Space Wrangler, and Under the Table and Dreaming.

Alabama Shakes - Boys & Girls CD - In October 2011, the Shakes gave a performance at the CMJ Festival in New York City that earned a glowing review from the New York Times. Jon Pareles described the band as "a thunderbolt dressed in bluejeans," with music that's "aching when it's slow and growling and whooping when it's fast." NPR named them one of the best bands of 2011, while MTV called them one of the top bands to look for in 2012.

Now, with expectations at fever pitch, the Alabama Shakes have delivered Boys & Girls. Overwhelmed by the response they've already received, there is one perception of the band that they want to challenge. "A lot of people think we're a soul revival act," says Cockrell. "That's an honor to me, classic R&B is my favorite kind of music, but everybody has their own influences. Brittany is way more into rock and roll--she likes things pretty amped up most of the time."

Wet Willie - Live Miles of Smiles CD - Recorded in Woodstock, Georgia back in August of 2011, this CD is full of high-octane music that captures the essence of a band still drippin' wet with talent and passion! Like the Allman Brothers Band, Wet Willie is best experienced in a live setting and on a hot, sweltering night in Georgia they left it all on the stage in an unbelievable performance. Recorded by original Capricorn engineer, Jim Hawkins, and mixed by Bert Elliot and Ovie Sparks, this CD jumps right out of the speakers from the opening vamp and carries you through all of the greatest hits of a band that knows how to leave you with a smile on your face!

Jatoba - Death, Fire & Picnic Tables CD - This debut album from Vermont's hottest groove-grass band is a smorgasbord of genres. Featuring the best of acoustic and electric music, these 10 tracks deliver ripping guitar leads and gritty vocal harmonies over punchy rhythmic improvisation, beat-boxing, and high-energy bluegrass tempos.

Jatoba is a Vermont-based acoustic trio with a distinctly unique sound. Their music consists of quick, high-energy bluegrass tempos, thumping rockabilly bass lines, and soaring three-part vocal harmonies, as well as punchy rhythmic improvisation, effects-driven guitar solos, beat-boxing, and even the occasional sitar interlude. The band delivers a live show which encompasses all of these aspects, as well as improvisatory jams, seamless flow, and effective crowd interaction. Greetings Music Lovers. Thank you for partaking in yet another one of my self-indulgent musical journeys. In my never ending quest to do something different, I present you my first release containing no guitar. Not a single guitar was used in the making of this record. To me, that's different. And that's what I'm going for.

This record has no looping. This is a document of songs and the overall, open air, spacious vibe created by this trio we call Kdubalicious. I am honored to be joined by musical genius Jay Starling on keys, and the one-drop master Mark D on drums. The record was recorded, mixed and co-produced by recording god Jeff Covert at Wally Cleavers in Fredericksburg, Virginia during the summer of 2011.

Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - Soul Time! CD - Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings have developed an international reputation as the #1 group on today's soul scene. Soul Time! is an exploration of the full range of their dynamic sound through twelve songs handpicked by the Daptone Records gang, each one a precious exclusive.

The needle drops on Genuine Pts. 1 & 2, a supercharged funk arrangement that evokes the late Godfather not only with the spirited syncopation of the Dap-Kings rhythms, but also with the raw power of Jones' voice. It is performances such as these that have earned her the moniker "the Female James Brown." Though it has long been one of their best-selling singles, it makes it's album debut here. Longer and Stronger, written for her 50th birthday, is a deep mid-tempo soul celebration of the strength and determination with which Sharon Jones has earned her long overdue success. It is heard here for the first time, but will undoubtedly join other Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings songs in the canon of great soul music. The theme of empowerment pushes on through "He Said I Can", an energetic stomper belted over an arrangement reminiscent of the Isley Brothers early-seventies heyday, and "I'm Not Gonna Cry" brings us back to the raw funk intensity of Genuine with a squealing tenor solo and a fiery vocal. Side one wraps with a scorching studio performance of "When I Come Home", long a highlight of the band's live show but rearing its head on album here for the first time as well.

"What If We All Stopped Paying Taxes?" kicks the second side off with a bang. A strong anti-war message pours over a revolutionary mid-tempo groove, accentuated by the conga work of the legendary Johnny Griggs of JB's fame, while Settling In is a greasy rhythm and blues grinder. And who says Christmas can't be soulful? Jones et al. make it so over their sought after holiday exclusive, "Ain't No Chimneys in the Projects." Next is an energetic romp into Motown intensity with "New Shoes", a walking-out-the door belter that picks up where These Boots Were Made For Walking left off. Without A Trace shows yet another dimension of the band, stretching a dreamy mid-tempo groove down the road to Memphis and back. Perpetual Groove - Sweet Oblivious Antidote CD - Our 2002 Studio Album of the Year! Our review: It would sell the Savannah, GA based quartet Perpetual Groove a little short to encapsulate their music with a catch phrase. Mercifully, the ebullient group has provided listeners with a perfect verbal synopsis of their sound with the title of their debut album Sweet Oblivious Antidote. Even the album's artwork provides a glimpse into P-Groove's eclectic attitude. The outside is done in the style of an antique medicine bottle and below the disc tray is a grainy grocery-bag colored photo of the band, but the liner notes are decidedly futuristic. This all-inclusive vibe is evident from the first track, "Three Weeks", which rides a genuine rock-ballad groove before launching upwards into the electronic skyline. The lyrics are desperate but hopeful. Yin and Yang prevail.

Focusing on creating a singular sound rather than blatantly showcasing their obvious individual talent, P-Groove molds the overwhelmingly happy tones of their music into various shapes. Thankfully, their sweetly optimistic outlook avoids the realm of the corny. They coax a huge sound from their utilitarian guitar/bass/keys/drums setup, stoking a universal psychedelic fire that lately seemed to be fizzling. There's sun-drenched, barefoot bounce-rock that actually springs from group effort instead of the well-tested verse-solo-verse format. Sections of trance-like intent grow from what seems like trial and error repetition. They also demonstrate the ability to garnish their less frenetic material with enough dynamic pulse and lyrical structure to give it an epic feel. This music succeeds because the band can weave ideas around each other in countless ways. The album pulls the listener in at a steady pace, never jarring the ear but gently persuading it with subtle melodic shifts ("Perihelion"), nifty multi-sectional compositions ("Sundog"), and instantly familiar hooks ("TSM2"). Buoyed by vocals that are actually relevant and pleasing, Sweet Oblivious Antidote glides further into the endless groove with sublime tunes like "Teakwood Betz" and the Flecktones-sounding "Astromonkey". "Astromonkey" bursts into musical permagrin with a percussive, island-hopping climax and giant rock-and-roll ending. The title track brings the album to a fitting close with dense vocal harmonies, sparkling mid-tempo roots rock, and a soaring, dramatic ending. With this album, Perpetual Groove offers soothing relief for the aching muscles of jam-rock. - Bryan Rodgers

Beatlejam are a sort of spin off from the successful US jam band Blue Floyd only this time its Beatles songs rather than the Pink Floyd, given the unique jam spin.

Zigaboo Modeliste - New Life CD - Legendary drummer Zigaboo Modeliste releases his 4th solo album on his label JZM Records entitled New Life. With elements of rock, funk, and blues on a timeless R&B base, this record features the iconic drumming and celebratory songwriting style of Zigaboo and his hometown of New Orleans. It also incorporates the talents of several music icons including legendary arranger Wardell Quezerque, saxophonist Norbert Stachel, and trumpeter Mic Gillet of Tower of Power fame.

A key ingredient in the outstanding flavor of New Life is the musical rapport these truly skilled artists created with Zigaboo. That's what happened on 6/13/10 when this live performance at the legendary Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA was recorded. This CD is a wonderful example of what can happen when two great musicians and songwriters join forces. The dynamic duo alternate between Randall's songs and Geoff's original tunes, and the result is greater than the sum of the parts. Check out how Achison's sensitive accompaniment enhances Bramblett's "Nobody's Problem" or how Randall's sax perfectly complements Geoff's "Rule the World." Oliver Wood of King Johnson adds scorching electric guitar licks to tunes like Achison's "Jungle" and Bramblett's "Get In Get Out," proving that with musicians of this caliber, more is definitely merrier! Boyer & Talton - Cowboy Reunion 2010 CD - Cowboy is one of those bands that brings back strong memories of the 70s heyday of Capricorn Records. From playing on Gregg Allman's classic Laid Back and the follow-up live CD, The Gregg Allman Tour to creating masterpieces like "Please Be With Me," "Time Will Take Us,"and "All My Friends," they defined the laid-back, country soul of that time and place. Cowboy influenced everyone from Eric Clapton and Bonnie Bramblett to the Marshall Tucker Band, and the Southern Rock movement wouldn't have been the same without them. They not only recorded four albums for Capricorn, they also played on numerous other releases for other artists on the label. With all of their original Capricorn albums out of print, for many years Cowboy fans had nothing but memories of the original band and their scratchy old vinyl LPs to remind them of this underrated supergroup. However, on December 17th, 2010, that all changed when Cowboy played their first show in years at the Capitol Theater in Macon, Georgia. It was an extraordinary night full of love and laughter and memories with this wonderful band as they played at a level that few achieve. The set list flowed from one hit into the next and the playing and singing was heartfelt and passionate - as homecomings should be. Cowboy Reunion 2010 features great playing, great harmony vocals, and one of the most impressive songwriting catalogs of any band around. Trust us when we say that no Cowboy fan should be without this disc!

Lake Trout - Alone at Last -Live with DJ Who CD - There's something very hypnotic about Lake Trout. Like Zen masters repeating a secret mantra on the road to spiritual enlightenment, they build their music one phrase at a time. Example: "Little Things In Different Places." Opening with a clean, understated guitar riff that comes around every four beats, the track takes shape with the soft strum of a rhythm guitar joined by the ethereal textures of a flute as they wash across the soundscape together like waves crashing to the beach - rhythmic and soothing. Forget about easy listening though - way too much edge here. Contrasting the dreamy poly-patterns, a manic, hyped up drum beat races from zero to warp speed in a pitter patter nanosecond. And that's just for starters. Sax, turntable scratch and signal processed vocals and are among the endless assortment of sounds floating in and out of the mix. Call it 'trance-jam.' Part techno, part industrial, with a hint of jazz and a dash of funk, Lake Trout has a loopish, layered approach, sonically engineered to seduce the subconscious mind with a kaleidoscope of swirling audio patterns. Live Phish - Manchester NH 10/26/2010 (3 CDs) - From Phish's acclaimed 2010 summer tour. This show was originally released during Phish's 2010 Summer Tour (unmastered) and was available only through the band's online store. We chose the best of the summer, fully-remastered them and are making them available for the first time to retail in a limited release of 500.

Dub Is A Weapon - Vaporized CD - "It can't be done, man!" That's what Dave Hahn, mastermind behind Dub Is A Weapon, heard when he fi rst fl oated the idea of a live dub group, as he and his mates listened to some prime 1960s King Tubby cuts in the band van. "Everyone seemed to think you could only do dub in the studio," Hahn recalls. Hahn set out to prove them wrong, with skills learned live and on the road, and with help from a Jamaican beatnik percussionist (who recorded with Bob Marley), an old high school friend, and young upstarts from the Brooklyn scene. Together they've honed their live take on the genre's spaced-out grooves, a sound felt in full force on Vaporized. Read our review of this CD here.

As has become the band s primary focus in its current incarnation, a laser sharp focus was given to capturing Garage A Trois sinewy, fourth-dimensional, polychromatic instrumental songwriting. A massive draw in clubs and festivals around the U.S., this latest recorded output from Garage A Trois will only help fuel the fire for a growing legion of fans amassing around the most dangerous instrumental band on the scene today.

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit - Here We Rest CD - Here We Rest is the second album from Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, and Isbell s third. Their 2009 self-titled debut received high praise from the press, including Rolling Stone, Spin, Paste, Details, Washington Post and many more. Blurt gave the album at 10 out of 10 rating and said, From the playing to the arrangements to the lyrical depth of emotion on display, not to mention the rich Southern soul vibe coaxed from the if-walls-could-talk confines of Muscle Shoals Fame Studios, this eponymous platter is a scorcher. An Alabama native, Isbell comes from a tradition of Southern music. His thoughtful songwriting and warm, soulful voice are genuine, natural abilities that shine through in his songs, which blossom with the 400 Unit - keyboardist Derry deBorja, guitarist Browan Lollar, drummer Chad Gamble and bassist Jimbo Hart.

Rebirth Brass Band - Rebirth of New Orleans CD - Brand new release by New Orleans' most recognized brass band. These guys tour the world bringing their funky street sounds to admiring crowds. Eleven newly-recorded tunes that celebrate the music that makes New Orleans great.

Eric Lindell - Cazadero CD - He produced his debut album, Bring It Back, in 1996, and in 1999 he won the John Lennon Songwriting Competition with his original piece "Kelly Ann." That same year, Lindell decided to move to New Orleans to pursue music in a different location. The move was a beneficial one, as Lindell soon hooked up with Galactic's Stanton Moore and begin playing shows around town, frequently enlisting drummers Johnny Vidocovich and Harold Brown (from War) to sit in. He issued a self-released, self-titled record in 2002, but the following year saw him move to Sparco Records, where he released both Piety Street Session and EP Volume 1. Tragic Magic followed in 2005 and sparked serious interest from Alligator Records, which released Change in the Weather in 2006 and Low on Cash, Rich in Love in 2008. Lindell continued his prolific output with 2009's Gulf Coast Highway, another album of blue-eyed soul and confident guitar work. Cazadero is hot off the press and ready to enjoy!

John Mancini Band - Sun King CD - Sun King draws its influences from reggae, afro pop and funk, to soul and classic rock. Produced in Baltimore, MD, with Chris Bentley (acclaimed for his work with The Bridge), John Mancini Band's follow-up to their 2009 debut, JMB, will please lovers of classic songwriting and extended instrumental grooves. Just over 50 minutes in length, Sun King has tight hooks, lush arrangements and surprising lyrics throughout.

Bootsy - Tha Funk Capital of the World CD - Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer and legendary bassist Bootsy Collins, known worldwide for pioneering funk music with James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic, releases his first new album in four years, Tha Funk Capitol of the World! Turbine - Sounds in the Hall (live) CD - Breaking through the proverbial glass ceiling of the improvisational rock scene proves no easy feat for young bands. Burgeoning musicians lumped in the dare we say it, jamband realm, need to successfully marry a deep high-quality catalog of material, whimsical stage presence, diverse writing chops, virtuoso instrumentation, and a calendar containing upwards of 200 shows per year. Correction, breaking through the glass ceiling of the improvisational rock scene is damn near impossible.

But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen, and Brooklyn's Turbine would like to submit their CV. On their first official live release, Sounds in the Hall, as they have over the course of 8 songs checked off every single one of the preceding prerequisites. Comprised of carefully hand-picked selections of both Turbine classics and newer material, Sounds in the Hall covers all the bases, but the clear differentiating factor that sets Turbine far above the masses is their amazing penchant for writing memorable and distinctive songs across a variety of sounds and genres.

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals CD - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are like a modern-day version of Tina Turner stroking the microphone in a spangled mini-dress while fronting the Rolling Stones circa Sticky Fingers. The proof is there for all to hear on the band's third album for Hollywood Records and marks an artistic breakthrough for a vital young band caught in the act of fulfilling its immense promise. Little wonder that Grace and her cohorts have chosen to title it, directly and emphatically, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Album produced by Mark Batson (Jay-Z, Dr Dre, Alicia Keys).

Toots & the Maytals - Flip & Twist CD - The album features Toots singing, R&B ,funk ,gospel ,blues and country in his own inimitable Jamaican style. Toots the inventor of the word "reggae" was voted by Rolling Stone Magazine one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time in 2009...when you hear "Flip & Twist" you will see why.

The Flaming Lips And Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins Doing Dark Side Of The Moon CD - The world's most predictably unpredictable band, The Flaming Lips, have teamed up with their Oklahoma City brethren, Stardeath And White Dwarfs to record their own unique take of Pink Floyd's 1973 classic album 'The Dark Side Of The Moon,' under the title of The Flaming Lips and Stardeath And White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins And Peaches. The collaborative project was recorded after several weeks of both bands touring the world together and mutually citing Pink Floyd as one of their favorite bands of all time and 'The Dark Side Of the Moon' as one of their primary influences.

The Black Keys - Brothers CD - Danger Mouse returned to co-produce 'Tighten Up' on 'Brothers,' but for the most part, the duo was on its own, spending ten days at the legendary Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama and coming up with the an even more intensely focused, deeply soulful set that includes a cover of Jerry Butler's 'Never Gonna Give You Up.' The performances are inventive and impassioned: Auerbach extends his vocal range to falsetto on the lead-off track 'Everlasting Light' and 'The Only One'; 'Howlin' For You' opens with a Gary Glitter-style drum riff and the chorus practically invites singing along. The tunes offer a surprising amount of lyrical candor and more than a little dark humor; the grooves alternate between ballsy swagger and bluesy rumination. The album reflects where Auerbach and Carney have been lately, most recently collaborating with a who's who of New York City MC's, including RZA, Q Tip, Mos Def and Raekwon on the 2009 BlakRoc super-session organized by hip-hop impresario and Black Keys fan Damon Dash. They've also pursued projects on their own, Auerbach with his solo 'Keep It Hid' album and tour, Carney with his band Drummer and its debut disc, 'Feels Good Together.' Their maturation didn't happen just in the studio, though. Carney admits, 'Dan and I grew up a lot as individuals and musicians prior to making this album. Our relationship was tested in many ways but at the end of the day, we're brothers, and I think these songs reflect that.'

Warren Haynes Presents the Benefit Concert Vol 3 (2 CDs) - Recorded live at the 13th Annual Christmas Jam in Asheville, Nc on December 21st, 2001 at the Asheville Civic Center. As with each previous benefit, all proceeds from this series of concerts and CD and DVD releases benefit the Habitat For Humanity, and international non-profit organization dedicated to building housing for those in need of shelter.

Jack Johnson - To the Sea CD - The fifth studio album from the acclaimed singer/songwriter. The album was produced by Robert Carranza, Jack Johnson, and his bandmates Merlo Podlewski, Zach Gill and Adam Topol. To The Sea features guest appearances from the likes of G. Love, and Paula Fuga. Johnny Winter - Live at the Fillmore East 1970 CD - The other live album from Johnny Winter And, 1971 s Live Johnny Winter And , has always ranked as one of the high points of Johnny s discography, but we d stack this 66-minute set up against that record (which was in part composed of other Fillmore East performances) any day of the week. In fact, when you hear Johnny and Rick Derringer trading off lead after lead, you may well be reminded of a bluesier, harder-edged Allman Brothers, with Johnny as Duane and Derringer as Dickey Betts with the McCoys rhythm section. In other words, folks, this is some of the most ferocious blues-rock ever laid down on stage.

Perpetual Groove - Honey Cuts EP CD - Honey Cuts presents three out takes from the Heal sessions - Space Paranoids, Cairo, and The Noise. While all three tracks were in contention to be featured on Heal, the band ultimately decided the tracks were better left off the release as they did not "fit" the overall timeless quality of the compositions contained within Heal. All three tracks feature a subtle infusion of the live show, including loops and effects that were absent from the songs released on the full album. The title of the EP is taken from the song "Honey Cuts" which is actually featured on Heal.

Sim Redmond Band - Open the Door CD - Since their inception over ten years ago, the Sim Redmond Band has been steadily on the rise, forging new ground in roots music. Traveling around the globe, playing with the likes of moe., the Neville Brothers, the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, and Habib Koite, in some of the most beautiful venues in the U.S. and Japan, the world has taken notice. SRB's unique blend of roots-rock, Afro-Carribean, and reggae music continues to spread like wild fire. They are based in Ithaca, NY but their magnetic pole is Africa, particularly the sounds eminating from West & South Africa. Eric Lindell - Between Motion and Rest CD or LP+CD - You want some mellow-yet-swinging, good time southern rock? Making his latest record, Between Motion and Rest, was so much fun for Eric, as he has been friends with this group of musicians for many years. The title of this album, Between Motion and Rest was inspired and based off the original song LUCKY LUCKY, by Peter Joseph Burtt. Peter is a very good friend of Eric's, and one of his favorite musicians and songwriters. The song really resonated with Eric, and they couldn't wait to record it! This track (and the rest of the record) features another one of his good friends and life long musical companions, Jake Brown. They grew up playing music together, along with Adam Theis and Peter Smith, two of the other players on this session. This album also features tracks with some of Eric's other long time friends Ivan Neville, Chris Arenas and Thomas Johnson from New Orleans, and Jacksonville's finest, Joe Cohen.

Dickey Betts - Altanta's Burning Down/Great Southern CD - Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Southern Rock legend on one disc: Dickey Betts & Great Southern (1977) and Atlanta's Burning Down (1978). With the revived interest is all things "Southern" and the fast expanding "Jam Band" scene this timely re-issue illustrates what a superb guitarist Betts is. He has just announced that he has retired from the road after all these years and these two albums remain fine testament to the mans outstanding guitar skills. 15 tracks.

moe. - Smash Hits Vol 1 CD - This new moe. album features: Spine of a Dog, Yodelittle, Saint Augustine, Mexico, Rebubula, Buster, Captain America, Okayalright, Tailspin, and first ever studio recording of Seat of my Pants. From ideas brewed in Buffalo basements and lyrics conjured up along miles of the lower 48, to sounds bouncing off trees from a stage in the Sierra Nevada, these 10 songs dot the map of the 20 years of music in the making for moe. With seven of the tracks recently re-recorded, this anthology will round out the studio collections of many seasoned fans, and is a good introduction, as Chuck Garvey puts it, "for first-time listeners or people who want their first taste of the breadth of our catalog."

Black Crowes - Warpaint Live DVD - The Black Crowes are one of the all-time great live rock bands. Their shows are legendary and regularly sell out in record time wherever in the world they play. This new live DVD was filmed on March 20, 2008 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles during the tour in support of their critically acclaimed new studio album "Warpaint". The concert features live versions of the whole of the "Warpaint" album plus a mixture of previously unreleased cover versions and some of their own classics. $14.98

Jefferson Airplane - Flight Box (3 Live CDs) - 3CD set from the first Rock group from San Francisco's Psychedelic music scene to achieve national and commercial success. The legendary concerts featured in this set were recorded at famous venues in their hometown and capture the group at the peak of their powers. The first concert was recorded at Golden Gate Park on July 5th, 1969. The second concert was the group's last-ever performance which took place at the Winterland Arena on September 22nd, 1972. The songs featured were drawn mainly from the group's last two studio albums, Bark and Long John Silver. They also included a sprinkling of old favorites such as "Crown Of Creation" and "Somebody To Love", the rarely-performed "The Son Of Jesus" and several numbers from recent albums by Papa John Creach and the JA spin-off group Hot Tuna. $28.98

Mark Karan - Walk Through the Fire CD - Bob Weir & RatDog lead guitarist Mark Karan's first solo recording, Walk Through The Fire, is a testament to his successful bout with cancer in 2007. Dickey Betts & Great Southern - Rockpalast: 30 Years of Southern Rock (2 DVDs) - Dickey Betts and Great Southern were the third highlight at the Rockpalast Festival on March 4th/5th, 1978. On those evenings, they played for the first time in Europe in front of an enthusiastic audience at the Gruga-Halle in Essen/Germany and millions of viewers on television. Dickey Betts is not unknown to those who are familiar with American rock music. He was one of the original members of the Allman Brothers Band and formed his own band Great Southern in 1976. Nowadays, Dickey Betts and Great Southern are considered to be one of the most important and influental southern rock bands of all time. $24.97

Warren Haynes - Acoustic Slide and the Art of Electric Improvisation DVD - This is Warren's follow-up to his first extremely successful Hot Licks release, Electric Blues and Slide Guitar. In this DVD, Warren teaches the country blues of Son House and Robert Johnson, different slides for different sounds, open-tuning licks in G and E tunings, using vibrato to correct pitch, damping for a cleaner sound, Muddy Waters' standard tuning style, switching off between the slide and fingers, "call and response" improvisation and so much more.
