New Releases:

John McLaughlinJohn McLaughlin & the 4th Dimension - Now Here This CD - McLaughlin's latest creative venture with The 4th Dimension, reflects a slight, yet significant, alteration of the dynamic, specifically the recruitment of powerhouse Indian drummer Ranjit Barot. Cameroon-born/Paris-resident bassist Etienne M'Bappe is back from To the One, as is keyboardist/drummer Gary Husband. This 8-track set of McLaughlin originals testifies to the guitarist's decades-long fascination with Indian music, through his effortless virtuosity, and relentless lyricism, even when the guitarist is shredding at near-light speed.

As John himself simply states, "Now Here This is the culmination of my life's work till now."

Govt MuleGov't Mule - The Georiga Bootleg Box (6 CDs) - "Those of you that have followed the Mule's history know that our connection with the state of Georgia is a deep one. Our first rehearsals were at the one-time living quarters of the Allman Brothers Band known as The Big House (now the ABB museum) in Macon, GA. Some later rehearsals took place at what used to be the legendary Capricorn Recording Studio in Macon while recording the song GONNA SEND YOU BACK TO GEORGIA for the HOUND DOG TAYLOR Tribute CD. A lot of our earliest shows were in Georgia as well so a lot of our growth as a band took place in front of Georgia audiences. Having recently been reminded of these 3 shows from '96, and of the fact that they had been recorded and mixed by Doug Oade back in the day, I found myself listening to these recordings for the first time in fifteen years. I was instantly taken with the visceral nature of the music along with the rawness of the way that it was captured. The Mule was barely two years old at this time and what we hear here, along with many songs from our first CD, are the works in progress of many songs that would later wind up on DOSE and in some cases LIFE BEFORE INSANITY. This was at a time in our career when our repertoire was small but constantly growing, not unlike our fan base."

Trey AnastasioTrey Anastasio - Traveler CD - Traveler, Trey's newest studio album, was co-produced with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jonsi) at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Musicians include Trey Anastasio Band, Mates of State s Kori Gardner, The National s Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger, Bon Iver's Rob Moose, and Icelandic percussionist Samuli Kosminen.

Infamous StringdustersInfamous Stringdusters - Silver Sky/We'll Do it Live (2 CDs) - Silver Sky - the recent studio recording in The Infamous Stringdusters' constant, relentless, revelatory musical evolution -- is released in Fall 2012 in a very special Silver Sky-Deluxe Edition. Delivered by SCI Fidelity and the band's own High Country label, Silver Sky-Deluxe Edition includes a previously unreleased bonus track, "He's Gone," and the bonus live album, We'll Do It Live.

Working with an unlikely studio partner - hip-hop producer Billy Hume (Ludacris, Nas) - Silver Sky finds The Infamous Stringdusters' powerful rhythms and vocal melodies at the forefront of the music. Paired with We'll Do It Live - a seamless live recording culled from four epic 2011 performances - Silver Sky-Deluxe Edition eloquently demonstrates a band whose artistic voice has fully emerged, and offers a riveting glimpse of just how, and where, The Infamous Stringdusters are leading the bluegrass revolution.

Widespread PanicWidespread Panic - Wood CD - In January and February 2012, Widespread Panic embarked their final performances of 2012 with the 11-date, four-city "Wood Tour". The acoustic tour ran through the Washington, DC area, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO and ended with three special nights at the Belly-Up Tavern in Aspen, CO. Since then Panic has been on a long-overdue hiatus for the rest of 2012.

Widespread Panic fans are sure to be pleased with the announcement of WOOD. The set features acoustic versions, and some new arrangements of Panic originals, including "Tall Boy", "Ain't Life Grand" and "Climb To Safety". Covers of fan favorites, such as Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers To Cross" and Sonny Boy Williamson's "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" are stand out highlights. Wood also features first time renditions of John Lennon's "The Ballad of John and Yoko" and former Animal Alan Price's "Sell Sell" from the legendary British film O' Lucky Man.

Hackensaw BoysHackensaw Boys - The Old Sound of Music Vol 2 CD - The group's latest efforts, The Old Sound of Music, Vol. 1 and The Old Sound of Music, Vol. 2, deliver original material that draws upon the songwriting talents of its members. These six-song collections are the result of recording sessions held at the decaying but comfortable Sound of Music studios on Broad Street in Richmond, VA before it moved to its new location. The recordings were mastered by Grammy award winner Charlie Pilzer at Airshow Mastering in Takoma Park, MD.

The Lee BoysThe Lee Boys - Testify CD - This family group consists of three brothers, Alvin Lee (guitar), Derrick Lee and Keith Lee (vocals) along with their three nephews, Roosevelt Collier (pedal steel guitar), Alvin Cordy Jr. (7-string bass) and Earl Walker (drums). "Sacred steel" is a type of music rooted in Gospel, but infused with rhythm and blues, jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop, country and African music driven by the pedal steel guitar. Testify features 11 tracks of new songs along with fan favorites from their live show. Stellar production, expanded instrumentation, and a slew of special guests result in a captivating mix of gospel, rock and R&B that will surely appeal to the most discerning music fan. Guest players include: Warren Haynes on vocals and lead guitar; Jimmy Herring on lead guitar; female vocalist Gia Wyre; Matt Slocum on organ, piano, and keyboards; Nate Worth on percussion; and producer/engineer/mixer Matt Grondin on electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, backing vocals. Horns were arranged by Mark Mullins.

Cast of ClownsCast of Clowns - Have a Heart CD - Cast of Clowns, recognized nationally as a "supergroup" of performers, is part fun machine, part harbinger, and all in. Their original songs stand strong and unflinching while their creative live approach shoves the envelope into a bucket of confetti. Founded by singer, songwriter, guitarist and fiction writer, Craig Wright, in 2008, The Clowns have played from British Columbia to Hawaii, developing particularly strong followings in Oregon and the Bay Area. Featuring world-class players like Greg Anton, (Zero), Jeff Pevar, (Ray Charles, CS&N), Melvin Seals, (Jerry Garcia Band), Hutch Hutchinson, (Bonnie Raitt), Bill Kreutzmann, (Grateful Dead), Robin Sylvester, (Ratdog), Barry Sless, (Dave Nelson), Damien Erskine, (Peter Erskine, Gino Vanelli) the Clowns shows are always surprising and fun.

The Rock CollectionThe Rock Collection - Live at the Oregon Country Fair CD -The Rock Collection is a brand new all-star group that features Mark Karan, electric guitar (RatDog), Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz, acoustic guitar and pedal steel (ALO), Greg Anton on drums (Zero), and Paul Lamb on bass (Burnt Noodle). They headlined the fair on the main stage in 2011 and this high fidelity live recording captured the magic. These accomplished live performers have an outstanding musical chemistry on stage, interweaving vocal harmonies, double guitar work and extended improvisation; their original songs include new Robert Hunter lyrics. The band takes an audience on a musical journey from emotive blues to delicate ballads to blow-the-roof-off rock and roll.

Gary Clark JrGary Clark Jr. - Blak & Blu CD -Rarely does an artist explode onto the music scene with the force and impact of a comet. But when it does happen -- as it did when 27-year-old singer-guitarist Gary Clark Jr. delivered an incendiary debut performance of his song "Bright Lights" at Eric Clapton's 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival last June -- the result is magical.

Funky, hip, and badass, Gary Clark Jr. is a rocking soul man for a new generation. Weaned on John Lee Hooker, Lightnin Hopkins, and T-Bone Walker, Clark fuses his deep blues influence with a love of classic hip-hop and contemporary soul. His voice weaves between a melodic lilt and a seasoned blues howl with his guitar licks dancing and dodging between and behind the beat as if the essence of Snoop and Dre loom in his head by way of the Mississippi Delta.

Medeski Martin & Wood - Free Magic CDMedeski Martin & Wood - Free Magic CD - For its latest effort, MMW dip into their archives to present a collection of recordings documenting their first-ever acoustic tour in 2007. The set, stretching out over five expansive tracks, captures the three intrepid improvisers--keyboardist John Medeski, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Billy Martin--exploring the telepathic hookup and deep groove sensibility that has defined MMW since its inception in 1991.

"There's a rhythmic and sonic connection that we have," says Martin of his MMW colleagues. "Listening is the most important thing for us. We're having a conversation when we're playing. The dynamic range is much greater in the acoustic setting. When we play electric, everything is turned up to 11 and it's screaming. But with John on piano and Chris on upright, we can play with a much more nuanced touch. It's a very different world, but I love it."

Last Week:

Grateful DeadGrateful Dead - Spring 1990: So Glad You Made It (2CD) - features 20 live performances hand-picked from five shows by David Lemieux, the band's archivist and the collection's producer.

Similar to 2011's Europe '72, Vol. 2, the two-disc set is a showcase for the best of the 1990 tour. The original artwork, which was created by New York artist Wes Lang (a lifelong Dead Head), showcases his elaborate drawings throughout the liner notes as well as on the cover, which features an ornate Indian skull headdress. Lemieux penned the compilation's liner notes, which provide background about the selected performances.

For those familiar with the Grateful Dead's glorious live performance history, the spring 1990 tour represents an important zenith, one fully equal to the golden ages of Europe '72 and spring '77. During this truly epic three-week spring fling, the band played as good as it ever had, with energy, sophistication and joy.

Recorded during the Grateful Dead's 25-year anniversary, the band - Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Brent Mydland, and Bob Weir - played as though it was on a mission to prove something. The pieces just fell into place that spring - impassioned vocals, the Brent/Jerry mind-meld, the MIDI expansion of the band's sonic vocabulary, and a bunch of new tunes and choice revivals.

Despite the space limitations inherent in a two-disc set, SPRING '90: SO GLAD YOU MADE IT vividly reflects the diversity of songs played during this tour. It spotlights newer material ("West L.A. Fadeaway" and "Blow Away"), classics ("Beat It On Down The Line" and "Morning Dew"), rarities ("Easy To Love You" and "Attics Of My Life"), epic jams ("Scarlet Begonias" > "Estimated Prophet"), and choice covers with Sam Cooke's "Let The Good Times Roll" and the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time."

The powerful and revealing sound heard throughout the collection is the result of work done by the band's longtime audio engineer John Cutler, who originally recorded the shows, and Jeffrey Norman, who mastered each show to HDCD specs.

The Black Crowes - Croweology (2 CDs)The Black Crowes - Croweology (2 CDs) - In celebration of the 20th year anniversary of their 1990 debut multi-platinum release Shake Your Money Maker, The Black Crowes will release their first ever double album of all acoustic material on August 3, 2010.

After touring in 2009, The Black Crowes spent time at the Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, recording over 20 songs from their 20 year history. The band arranged acoustic versions of many of their best loved songs and the band's catalogue picks.

The double album, Croweology, will be sold at the cost of a single album as a 'Thank You' to their fans for 20 years of support. In late summer,The Black Crowes will kick off their "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys" 2010 Tour which will feature three hour performance sets in most markets. The shows are being billed as"Acoustic Hor D'oeuvres followed by an Electric Reception WithThe Black Crowes and will consist of a full hour and a half acoustic set followed by a full hour and a half electric set.

The tour will begin on August 13 in Milwaukee and is presently scheduled to conclude with the band's annual multi-night stand at the Fillmore in San Francisco on December 19,2010.

Following their 2010 "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys" Tour the band has planned a lengthy hiatus.

Gov't Mule - Mulennium (3 CDs)Gov't Mule - Mulennium (3 CDs) - Recorded live at the Roxy in Atlanta, GA on December 31, 1999. Since 1994, Gov't Mule has celebrated the upcoming New Year with unique fan-pleasing concerts that showcase their wide-ranging repertoire, virtuosic musicianship and commitment to their fans. New Year's is very special not only to the fans but to the band as well.

December 31, 1999, ushered in a new century and millennium and called for something truly magical - and that nights show at Atlanta's historic Fox theater delivered it. What made the show so extraordinary? For starters, Little Milton, one of Warren Haynes' most important influences, joins Gov't Mule for six songs including 'I Can't Quit You Baby' and 'It Hurts Me Too'. Other special guests include longtime Mule friends and collaborators Audley Freed (Black Crows), Robert Kearns, Johnny Mosier, Mark Van Allen and Barry Richman. Secondly, this show contains many Mule covers played for the first time including The Black Crows 'Sometimes Salvation' and King Krimson's '21st Century Schzoid Man'.

Painstakingly remixed and remastered from the original master tapes, Mulennium sounds even fresher than ever before.

Dangermuffin - Moonscapes CDDangermuffin - Moonscapes CD - Sit a moment with Dangermuffin's latest album, Moonscapes, and you'll hear tales of rogue lawmen, forlorn lovers, and rolling waves. Based in Folly Beach, SC, the eclectic trio casts a fresh perspective on American roots music.

Setting Dangermuffin ahead of the pack are the refreshingly magnetic lyrics of Dan Lotti, winner of the Songwriters Hall of Fame's 2005 "New Writers Showcase." Lotti's strong, articulate vocals perfectly frame each song, creating a stout foundation for the tasteful poly-groove jams and improvisational passages. "The concepts of Moonscapes comes from when the tide goes out on the beach, leaving tidal pools that look like craters," says Lotti. "To me, that seemed like the notion of the sea of tranquility."

Dangermuffin's rhythmic anchor lies in the creative beats of Steven Sandifer (Drew Emmitt Band, Adrienne Young), embellished by the thrilling, twangy guitar stylings of Mike Sivilli. The result of their pooled talents is an inventive, fresh sound that retains an organic Americana truthfulness.

Last year, the band celebrated acclaim in Relix Magazine as the winners of the April 2009 "Jam Off" competition. Their fanbase grows exponentially with each new market and show, building off a strong southeast regional presence with appearances at festival's like Colorado's Jazz Aspen, opening for Xavier Rudd and Widespread Panic.

With two strong records already under their belt and a new flagship album ready for takeoff, 2010 will prove to be groundbreaking for Dangermuffin. Give Moonscapes a spin and experience the post-roots groove -- a punchy, folk-jam pastry for the sweet-toothed soul of the south.

Tea Leaf Green - Looking West CDTea Leaf Green - Looking West CD - "We've been waiting a long time to make this record" says Trevor Garrod, "In a band like ours we have so many songs that we play and love but never had a chance to record in the studio. It's almost as if we've loved these songs too much and were afraid to encase them forever behind the iron bars of a vacuum sealed, shrink wrapped studio album." Garrod sums up the band's change of attitude with these final thoughts, "We have come to realize that we can only truly set these beloved tunes free by putting them all down on a record. We are releasing them into the wild. We are casting them out to sea. We are 'Looking West' into the setting sun and launching them into outer space. These songs are messages in bottles washed up on foreign shores, alien transmissions from distant worlds, memories from our fading youth, and reminders of our endless and repetitious search for love and freedom."

Orgone - Cali Fever CD Orgone - Cali Fever CDOrgone - Cali Fever CD- Orgone are back with Cali Fever, their second album for Ubiquity and a giant step from anything they have ever released in the past. This is a band in ascendancy, with more focus and purpose, and gigging like their lives depend on it.

They pull on hard-nosed, stripped-down, New Orleans influences on tracks like "The Last Fool" and "Crazy Queen." And effortlessly shift gears through more uptempo Afrobeat and Brazilian informed tracks like "Matanza" and summer anthem "It's Time Tonight." Unlike previous releases, Cali Fever features all-original compositions, and no covers. With lead singer Fanny Franklin at the helm, the band rip through soul cuts like "Give It Up" and "Overtime" with a wild West Coast flair.

"Cali Fever refers to the vibes and energy coming out of California, specifically Los Angeles," explains the band. "Coastal environments breed a certain sound, like New Orleans, Brooklyn, the Bay Area, and Miami. Los Angeles has a sound and a feeling for all of us and that's how we approached this record. It's an amalgamation of the eclectic things we've learned & heard mostly growing up in LA. We aspire to represent where we come from."

Robert Randolph - We Walk This Road CDRobert Randolph - We Walk This Road CD - Produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett, 'We Walk This Road' continues the Sacred Steel tradition for which Robert Randolph has earned wide praise, including the New York Times, which applauds 'his rip-roaring virtuosity and his gift for making his instrument sing without a word.'

Throughout the recording of 'We Walk This Road,' Randolph and Burnett worked closely together as archivists, discovering songs-decade by decade-from the 20th century American music canon. The songs they uncovered, ranging from blues and rock to field recordings and gospel, serve as the inspiration for the 11 songs on 'We Walk This Road.' Recorded at the Village Recorders and Electro Magnetic Studio, the album includes 'If I Had My Way' (featuring Ben Harper), 'Salvation' (featuring Leon Russell), and reinterpretations of Prince's 'Walk Don't Walk,' Bob Dylan's 'Shot Of Love,' (featuring Jim Keltner, who played drums on the original version) and John Lennon's 'I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier Mama' (featuring Doyle Bramhall II).

Of the album, Randolph says 'T Bone and I drew a lot from the past while we were making this record, but I think it really is a record for these times. I think the fact that I, as a young guy who likes hip-hop and gospel, am reaching back into this rich history of American roots music will appeal to people who are fifteen, and people who are seventy-five years old. T Bone opened my eyes to great archival music. He's a link between the past and the present.'

10ft Ganja Plant - 10 Deadly Shots Vol 1 CD10ft Ganja Plant - 10 Deadly Shots Vol 1 CD - First all instrumental album by 10 Ft. Ganja Plant... 10 Deadly Shots cut from vinyl!

Its a cold weekend in February and the Cessna's land. The vibes brew as the room fills, while the bass thumps a beat and the snare drum rings a tune. The chords echo through the room as the smell of analog tape enters the air.....A familiar start to a 10 ft Ganja Plant recording session. We like to keep things fresh, create a vibe, throw around the ideas, write the track, record the track and never play it again. We record almost all of the records live, everyone in one room. The exception would be the occasional vocal, keyboard guitar horn line that was impossible to play at the same time. All of the material is captured by reel to reel 2,4,8,16,24 tracks. During this particular session we were using 8 tracks.

Hot Tuna - Live at New Orleans House CDHot Tuna - Live at New Orleans House CD - The little blues band-within-a-band side project of Jefferson Airplane's Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen outlasted the parent band, of course, and continues on to this day, but here s a priceless opportunity to hear a collection of completely unreleased performances from the duo's early days in super high fidelity (other recordings from this multi-night engagement at Berkeley's New Orleans House were actually used for the debut Hot Tuna album)! And the set list? Practically a Hot Tuna greatest hits with some nods to the Deadheads among us! 68 minutes!

New Additions:

Turbine - Sounds from the Hall CDTurbine - Sounds in the Hall (live) CD - Breaking through the proverbial glass ceiling of the improvisational rock scene proves no easy feat for young bands. Burgeoning musicians lumped in the dare we say it, jamband realm, need to successfully marry a deep high-quality catalog of material, whimsical stage presence, diverse writing chops, virtuoso instrumentation, and a calendar containing upwards of 200 shows per year. Correction, breaking through the glass ceiling of the improvisational rock scene is damn near impossible.

But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen, and Brooklyn's Turbine would like to submit their CV. On their first official live release, Sounds in the Hall, as they have over the course of 8 songs checked off every single one of the preceding prerequisites. Comprised of carefully hand-picked selections of both Turbine classics and newer material, Sounds in the Hall covers all the bases, but the clear differentiating factor that sets Turbine far above the masses is their amazing penchant for writing memorable and distinctive songs across a variety of sounds and genres.

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals CdGrace Potter & the Nocturnals CD - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are like a modern-day version of Tina Turner stroking the microphone in a spangled mini-dress while fronting the Rolling Stones circa Sticky Fingers. The proof is there for all to hear on the band's third album for Hollywood Records and marks an artistic breakthrough for a vital young band caught in the act of fulfilling its immense promise. Little wonder that Grace and her cohorts have chosen to title it, directly and emphatically, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Album produced by Mark Batson (Jay-Z, Dr Dre, Alicia Keys).

The Flaming Lips And Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins Doing Dark Side Of The Moon CD The Flaming Lips And Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins Doing Dark Side Of The Moon CD - The world's most predictably unpredictable band, The Flaming Lips, have teamed up with their Oklahoma City brethren, Stardeath And White Dwarfs to record their own unique take of Pink Floyd's 1973 classic album 'The Dark Side Of The Moon,' under the title of The Flaming Lips and Stardeath And White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins And Peaches. The collaborative project was recorded after several weeks of both bands touring the world together and mutually citing Pink Floyd as one of their favorite bands of all time and 'The Dark Side Of the Moon' as one of their primary influences.

The Black Keys - Brothers CDThe Black Keys - Brothers CD - Danger Mouse returned to co-produce 'Tighten Up' on 'Brothers,' but for the most part, the duo was on its own, spending ten days at the legendary Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama and coming up with the an even more intensely focused, deeply soulful set that includes a cover of Jerry Butler's 'Never Gonna Give You Up.' The performances are inventive and impassioned: Auerbach extends his vocal range to falsetto on the lead-off track 'Everlasting Light' and 'The Only One'; 'Howlin' For You' opens with a Gary Glitter-style drum riff and the chorus practically invites singing along. The tunes offer a surprising amount of lyrical candor and more than a little dark humor; the grooves alternate between ballsy swagger and bluesy rumination. The album reflects where Auerbach and Carney have been lately, most recently collaborating with a who's who of New York City MC's, including RZA, Q Tip, Mos Def and Raekwon on the 2009 BlakRoc super-session organized by hip-hop impresario and Black Keys fan Damon Dash. They've also pursued projects on their own, Auerbach with his solo 'Keep It Hid' album and tour, Carney with his band Drummer and its debut disc, 'Feels Good Together.' Their maturation didn't happen just in the studio, though. Carney admits, 'Dan and I grew up a lot as individuals and musicians prior to making this album. Our relationship was tested in many ways but at the end of the day, we're brothers, and I think these songs reflect that.'

Johnny Winter - Live at the Fillmore East 1970 CD Johnny Winter - Live at the Fillmore East 1970 CDJohnny Winter - Live at the Fillmore East 1970 CD - The other live album from Johnny Winter And, 1971 s Live Johnny Winter And , has always ranked as one of the high points of Johnny s discography, but we d stack this 66-minute set up against that record (which was in part composed of other Fillmore East performances) any day of the week. In fact, when you hear Johnny and Rick Derringer trading off lead after lead, you may well be reminded of a bluesier, harder-edged Allman Brothers, with Johnny as Duane and Derringer as Dickey Betts with the McCoys rhythm section. In other words, folks, this is some of the most ferocious blues-rock ever laid down on stage.

Perpetual Groove - Honey Cuts CD Perpetual Groove - Honey Cuts EP CD - Honey Cuts presents three out takes from the Heal sessions - Space Paranoids, Cairo, and The Noise. While all three tracks were in contention to be featured on Heal, the band ultimately decided the tracks were better left off the release as they did not "fit" the overall timeless quality of the compositions contained within Heal. All three tracks feature a subtle infusion of the live show, including loops and effects that were absent from the songs released on the full album. The title of the EP is taken from the song "Honey Cuts" which is actually featured on Heal.

Eric Lindell - Between Motion & Rest CD Eric Lindell - Between Motion and Rest CD or LP+CD - You want some mellow-yet-swinging, good time southern rock? Look no further than BODEGA, which suggests a marriage of Elvin Bishop and the Allman Brothers, spiced by gentle horn jabs and boasting the most sensual guitar tone you'll hear all year. - Blurt Magazine

Making his latest record, Between Motion and Rest, was so much fun for Eric, as he has been friends with this group of musicians for many years. The title of this album, Between Motion and Rest was inspired and based off the original song LUCKY LUCKY, by Peter Joseph Burtt. Peter is a very good friend of Eric's, and one of his favorite musicians and songwriters. The song really resonated with Eric, and they couldn't wait to record it! This track (and the rest of the record) features another one of his good friends and life long musical companions, Jake Brown. They grew up playing music together, along with Adam Theis and Peter Smith, two of the other players on this session. This album also features tracks with some of Eric's other long time friends Ivan Neville, Chris Arenas and Thomas Johnson from New Orleans, and Jacksonville's finest, Joe Cohen.

Dickey Betts - Altanta's Burning Down/Great Southern CDDickey Betts - Altanta's Burning Down/Great Southern CD - Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Southern Rock legend on one disc: Dickey Betts & Great Southern (1977) and Atlanta's Burning Down (1978). With the revived interest is all things "Southern" and the fast expanding "Jam Band" scene this timely re-issue illustrates what a superb guitarist Betts is. He has just announced that he has retired from the road after all these years and these two albums remain fine testament to the mans outstanding guitar skills. 15 tracks.
